This 30-minute documentary, made by acclaimed international filmmaker Shuli Eshel, captures the essence of the Maxwell Street Market through the memories of the children and grandchildren of the Eastern European Jewish immigrants who built it. Includes period film and photographs, some never before seen. Produced in association with the Maxwell Street Historic Preservation Coalition.

Collecting many stories via making the documentary, Shuli Eshel and Roger Schatz created “Jewish Maxwell Street Stories”, a photographic book published by Arcadia Publishing Inc.
